Position Summary : Montagpress is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring that all content meets our high standards before publication. This is a remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of authors and projects. Key Responsibilities : Review and proofread manuscripts, articles, and other written materials for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors. Ensure consistency in style and adherence to company guidelines and industry standards. Collaborate with authors and editors to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement. Maintain clear communication with the editorial team regarding project timelines and any issues that arise during the proofreading process. Assist in the development of style guides and proofreading checklists to enhance the quality of our publications. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Communications, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in proofreading or editing, preferably in a publishing or editorial environment. Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guides (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in using editing software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
